Bookings and cancellation: By making a booking you are entering into a legal contract. However, we appreciate that circumstances may arise causing cancellation or curtailment of a booking. If you wish to cancel or change your booking, you must do so by telephoning the hotel no less than 48 hours before your stay is due to commence (excluding Pride, Christmas, New Year and major conference events see below). Whilst we make every effort to re-let accommodation, we reserve the right to charge 100% of our full tariff on every room booked. All ‘Advanced Purchase’ and ‘Pay and Save’ bookings are non-refundable. For bookings made within 48 hours of arrival, it follows that the full amount will be due. We are unable to refund breakfasts paid for in advance. Room allocations are only ever provisional, on a best endeavors basis and therefore subject to change NB: It is the responsibility of the guest to request the return of any cash security deposit on departure. After three months any unclaimed funds will revert to the hotel
Liability: Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and in no circumstances will we be responsible to you for any indirect or special damages. We will not be liable for failure to provide the services including the guest WIFI to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. The hotel shall not be held responsible for any disturbance, inconvenience or loss caused by or in connection with any activity outside and inside the hotel premises. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us, including any damage to our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and you agree to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss. The burning of candles, incense or similar items are strictly forbidden in any part of the building. Further, all reservations are non-transferable and we reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears a customer is engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under any other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error by the hotel or its agents. On arrival, we would ask that you show confirmation of your booking and the payment card used for the booking, should an advance payment or deposit have been made. Proof of identity may also be requested. We also reserve the right to pre-authorise your payment card for a minimum of £50 or seek a cash security deposit.
Damages & Disturbances: As noted above, all damage and nuisance to other guests, as assessed solely by the hotel’s management, may result in additional charges and the guest [s] being asked to leave with the hotel lien over any left property until such time as any outstanding account has been settled. The hotel is non-smoking/vaping throughout and a minimum £125 cleaning fee will be levied if guests smoke/vape within the premises. Smoking on the Terrace is permitted. Should a guest deliberately [or otherwise for example by smoking] set off the fire alarm a minimum charge of £250 will result. Lift: The hotel has a lift which services all guest floors; it is fully maintained by an external engineering company. The lift states clearly that capacity is limited to two people. Should a guest overload the lift and in so doing place it out of service then they will become liable for the cost of any call-out which will not be less than £110 + VAT. To be clear the hotel cannot be held responsible or liable, financially or otherwise, should the lift be out of service. Please click here to read full damages policy
Force Majeure: In no event shall the hotel be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, pandemics, strikes, work stoppages, equipment failure, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services; it being understood that the hotel maintains good service records and shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the industry to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.

This strictly in accordance with our Premises Licence
Food and Beverage Policies: Due to regulatory requirements and quality control issues, all food and beverage to be served on the Hotel property must be supplied and prepared by the hotel.
Groups: No hen/stag parties are permitted. This applies to the entire venue. Our policy is to refuse hen/stag parties regardless of sexual orientation which includes booking hotel accommodation. If groups ignore this and book individually and are then found to be part of a hen/stag party, we will cancel the booking [even on arrival] with no refund being given. Please note that other groups of five or more may be able to stay at management discretion so please contact the hotel to agree terms.
Guest Deliveries/Storage: All unidentified objects delivered to the hotel without prior notification to the hotel will not be acknowledged or accepted.
